Ezoic, Monumetric, Mediavine and Adthrive Minimum Traffic: What Does it Mean?
If you are blogging for a profit, I’m sure you’ve already heard about each of these blogger networks for advertising. Ezoic and Monumetric are what many bloggers advance to after AdSense. However, MediaVine and Adthrive minimum traffic levels can be a bit more intimidating. Why should you work to scale your blog to such high levels of traffic, and what does that mean for your monthly blog revenue?
If you’ve already read my post about How Blogs Actually Make Money, you know that ad revenue is just one option. To have a sizable ad revenue requires long-term planning and personal discipline to continually improve your SEO rankings, and strengthen your social media presence. However, it takes longer to experience its profitability. Nonetheless, ad revenue is the most passive form of income your blog can experience!
Assuming you are utilizing additional tools to monetize your blog, we will leave total net-profitability out of the equation. In this post, we are strictly going to look at things like AdThrive minimum traffic, and ad generated revenue averages.
What are the Ezoic, Monumetric, and AdThrive Minimum Traffic Requirements?
Ezoic Minimum Traffic Requirements
What Are The Requirements To Work With Ezoic?
None! Ezoic works with publishers of all sizes, niches and locations around the world. Whether you are pursuing your website as a hobby or you have a full-time business operation with extensive staff, Ezoic’s technology is able to optimize all site types to maximize your ad revenue and traffic growth.
What Users are Saying:
You must have a Google AdSense account that is in good standing. This means at least 1’000 page views per month to be considered at all. Additionally, there are tiers for Ezoic bloggers. To see maximum profits, your website will need to have at least 10’000 page views per month.
Monumetric Minimum Traffic Requirements
What Their Website Says:
Monumetric does not address minimum traffic requirements.
What Users are Saying:
To be considered for their lowest tier program, “Propel,” you must have 10’000 qualified sessions per month, and you have to pay a $99 application fee. They have additional tiers available for blogs that exceed 80’000 sessions, 500’000 sessions, and 10 million sessions per month.
MediaVine Minimum Traffic Requirements
What Their Website Says:
“Our minimum traffic requirement for NEW publishers is now 50,000 sessions per month.”
What Users are Saying:
You need a minimum of 50’000 sessions per month, which equates to around 60’000-80’000 site visits per month.
AdThrive Minimum Traffic Requirements
What Their Website Says:
Good luck finding this! This is a very exclusive program reserved for the best blogs, it is offered to AdSense customers who meet the minimum threshold.
What Users are Saying:
“AdThrive is a Google Certified Publishing Partner that has a large pool of advertisers. Though it has a fairly low minimum payout threshold of $25, its minimum traffic requirement of 100,000 page views per month can make it difficult for new site owners to get in. “
How Much are Bloggers Earning From meeting the Ezoic, Monumetric, MediaVine and AdThrive Minimum Requirements?
Ezoic Earning Estimates:
From my research, most bloggers are earning between $10-$20 per 1’000 page views in the lower tiers. Some users report earning as much as $40-$60 per 1’000 page views. I think it’s worth mentioning that while I’m sure those numbers are entirely possible, Ezoic has a referral program. Its users can receive 3% of the lifetime income of everyone in their downline per month from what I am finding. This tells me that there’s a high likelihood people might be motivated to fib about their profitability. If someone has different information, I’d love to update this section of my site; contact me via email, and I will share your findings and a link to your website!
Monumetric Earning Estimates:
Some outliers report higher earnings. But the averages I am finding for Monumetric are between $6-$14 per every 1’000 sessions. Monumetric, like Ezoic does have a referral program. However, I am finding that they do not provide affiliate links, and require you provide them with the name of their affiliate who is referring you. With a system like this, it is highly unlikely that bloggers would be profiting significantly from referrals. I prefer this (or no affiliate programs) for blogger ad networks because it means the results people share tend to be more honest.
With only 10,000 page views monthly, you can expect to see a profit of $60-$140 on average. Of course, if you stick with it until you are eligible for higher earnings from MediaVine of AdThrive, that ads up quickly!
MediaVine Earning Estimates:
MediaVine is my favorite to report on. They do not have an affiliate program, and you can tell that bloggers who work with them are genuinely eager to share their earnings and recommend them! An extremely average number from MediaVine users is about $25 per 1’000 page views. However, many eagerly report earning up to $45 per 1’000 page view. This seems to be determined by niche, and time spent on each page. If you only write short content, you may struggle to reach $25 per thousand. However, if you write informative, detailed content and your average reader spends significant time on your page, you will see higher earnings.
With only a minimum of 50’000 page views monthly, earning the average $25 per thousand. You can expect an income of approximately $1’250 per month!
AdThrive Earning Estimates:
AdThrive also doesn’t appear to have any affiliate program, which means more honest answers. However, with bloggers achieving a minimum of 100,000 page views per month, these bloggers seem to be busily collecting their profit and to keep their income private! I have found some bloggers claim as little as $9 per thousand page views on their lower quality posts, to $30 per thousand on average. Of course, I am positive there are outliers who earn more; I didn’t find any first-hand accounts though.
With a minimum of 100’000 page views, these bloggers are earning $900-$3000 per month.
Can a Blogger Earn a Living from Only Ads?
The simple answer to that question is “yes,” but a complete answer would be. Ad income can vary significantly from one month to the next. Many bloggers notice seasonal decreases in their blog traffic. So, while they might meet the minimum requirements in one month, it’s possible that in another month, they won’t generate as much traffic. Additionally, culture can impact the payouts. During COVID-19, many bloggers found that advertisers were paying less than ever – because people were limited to online shopping and without reliable incomes, e-commerce was down! So, for someone who is debt-free, earning a living from only ads would be possible, but it still needs improvement. A blog that has been around within its niche for around 4-6 months is ready to launch digital products or courses. That can generate significant income, as can affiliate links, if that is something you prefer.
